Love, not fear, brings lasting change!
Fear of judgment may change someone's actions but it cannot change their heart. If someone changes because they’re afraid of God’s judgment, afraid of someone’s critical and judgmental attitude the change will only be temporary at best. Fear-based change doesn’t last because the person isn’t changing because they want to but because they’re afraid not to. Once the fear wears off they go back to their old destructive lifestyle. Change the heart through and by God’s love and the actions will change. This type of change will last!
